On Tuesday, Elders from the four constituencies in the county preempted their plans to install Bosire as the spokesperson of the Abagusii community in Nyamira County during a funeral at Gesima.

The announcement of endorsing Bosire might elicit heated debate from political elites from the county among them Nyamira Governor John Nyagarama who is also a member of Bosire’s ODM party.

“As Abagusii community from Nyamira, we need a leader who will speak on our behalf. We have positively identified Bosire and plans are underway to install him as our leader,” said Mzee Silvanus Kibagendi.

They said elevation of the first time legislator to National Treasurer in the Orange party which is predominant in the county was the major reason behind their decision.

“He is a senior member of ODM and apparently the party enjoys support from our county. He deserves the title and we ask politicians to desist from politicizing the issue,” added Mr. Nyaribo Bonyi.

However, the move was criticized by a section of Gesima residents termed the move as ‘premature and stage-managed’ besides accusing Bosire of being ‘arrogant’ and therefore a bad role model to the society
