Juja MP Francis Munyua has defended Devolution Cabinet Secretary Ann Waiguru over claims that she has embezzled over Shs. 800 million from the National Youth Services (NYS) program.
The legislator said that the accusations have been political and it has all been efforts to downplay the work done by the Jubilee government in ensuring youths in Kenya are catered for.
He added that the Jubilee administration is strong and firm and will not be distracted by the ‘noises’ made by the opposition. He said that the CORD is after tarnishing the CS’s name despite having done great job and having reported attempts to ‘steal’ public funds from the ministry.
Speaking in Juja town on Thursday, the lawmaker called on the Jubilee MPs to make sure they keep their support on the government to ensure President Kenyatta holds on his good work even with pressure from the opposition.
“We know that they are just politicking and they are after blemishing the Jubilee government. I call onto my fellows to support the President in his work to make him strong in delivering our manifesto,” the legislator said.
He added, “Our government is strong and we will never be shaken by anyone politicizing our good work. We need to take their critics and work them out as challenges.”
Waititu has further called on the central region residents to defy from illicit brew consumption and alcoholism saying that the youths are dying slowly out of ignorance.
