Mavoko MP Patrick Makau, has said Machakos Senator, Johnstone Muthama, has got no apology to make over allegations that he disrespected the Presidency.
Speaking to HiviSasa on phone on Thursday, Makau said he supports senator Muthama for his "astuteness" and firm stand against increased corruption among state officers in the country.
Makau said all public officers should adhere to the laws of the land by desisting from corrupt dealings, misuse of offices and public resources including funds under their custody.
"I support senator Muthama on his bold stand of condemning corrupt state officials, there is no 'sacred cow' hence all whose dockets have corrupt dealings should step aside to pave way for investigations," said Makau.
Makau accused the President of protecting some state officials saying all should be treated equally whenever allegations of corruption in their dockets are made.
"Those condemning Muthama for his remarks are wrong and misinformed, he exercised his constitutional right to freedom of speech. If anything, justice should be done to all and start with Devolution CS Anne Waiguru. The issue will only end once she is taken to court and charged as her earlier suspended colleagues," said Makau.
Makau said that the push for Waiguru's exit from office was not guided by malice but it was fighting graft and protecting Kenyan's funds.
