Machakos governor Dr Alfred Mutua is expected to make changes in his government’s senior staff on Thursday.

In an announcement in his facebook page on Wednesday evening, Mutua said the reshuffling will be the first round of a series of changes in his government. The changes are meant to ensure quality and transparent provision of services to the public and in line with his ideology of maendeleo chap chap.

The announcement read: "Tomorrow, Thursday, October 22, I will announce round one of my government's senior staff changes. These changes are meant to ensure quality and transparent provision of services to Wananchi and implementation of Maendeleo Chap Chap."

The reshuffling comes a days after he held a meeting with a team from the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) which paid a courtesy call on him. It was led by their Chief Executive Officer Mr Halakhe Waqo and his Deputy Mr Michael Mubea.

They were in the county for a two day official visit. He urged them to visit the development projects of his county government like the upgrading of the level 5 hospitals, the people’s park, and the Mwala - Kithimani Road.

The governor welcomed EACC to assist his government in setting up systems that will enhance transparency and accountability in the county.

In a facebook post he said: "This will help citizens get value for their money and the enhancement of service delivery in all government departments across the county."
