A mutilated body of 7 year-old child was found dumped in a nearby bush at Mwongori location in Borabu sub County with residents calling for expeditious investigations by government agencies.
Master Brian Onamo reportedly went missing last week during an evening out with child friends and efforts of parents to trace him were futile given the reported delay of the police to assist the family.
“It is very sad that we searched our child for several hours without helping him. We have information that a neighbor’s child tricked him and they achieved the course. The police refuse to respond to our distress calls but all is important is justice to our child and family,” said Mr. Allan Onamo, father to the deceased.
They urged residents to live as brother’s keeper and vowed to resolve outstanding land rows which have reportedly been behind numerous murders in the region.
“I understand that a land row with my neighbor could have cost my child his life. This is the time to work on those small issues and live in harmony,” Onamo added.
Area Cheif Mr. David Ogega promised an expeditious enquiry to mysterious death as condemned the incident terming it inhuman and brutal.
“When I see a child killed in these inhuman and brutal conditions I seriously think something is wrong. This is the time to work hand in hand and bring perpetrators into book,” he said.
