Nakuru County Governor Kinuthia Mbugua on Tuesday hosted a number of youth when they paid him a courtesy call.

The group led by their top leadership including Philip Ngo'k the President updated the governor on the ongoing Nakuru Youth Week which kicked off o Monday.

They also deliberated on initiatives that can empower the youth. The forum which entered its day two on Tuesday was endorsed by the county officials notably governor Kinuthia Mbugua and his deputy Joseph Rutto and the main focus was on celebrating and empowering the Nakuru Youth.

This year's theme is "Youth Civic Engagement". According to the program, today the “Road Show Caravan” is aimed at engaging the youth from all county constituencies .

"We aim to reach youth in all the 55 county wards using a 40ft truck as an avenue to disseminate information through IEC materials as well as accord youth a platform to inquire about opportunities available for them at county and national level," reads the programme
