A man accused of causing the death of his fellow mason while renovating a building in Nakuru town was on Wednesday arraigned before a Nakuru court to face charges of murder.
Francis Ngige Mburu is alleged to have murdered Ezekial Korir by pushing him from a building on September 12, 2015 within Nakuru town.
It is alleged that both Mburu and Korir worked as masons at a building that was under renovation when they had an argument that led to a fight.
It is then under that circumstance that Korir felt from fifth floor and died immediately.
Fellow workers raised alarm about the incident and Mburu was arrested and taken to Nakuru Central police station where he was held.
Lady Justice Maureen Odero said Mburu had just been made aware of charges facing him and as such he could not take plea.
She ordered that the accused be taken to the Nakuru Provincial General hospital for mental assessment to assure the court he was fit to stand trial.
He will be returned to court on September 25, 2015.
