Speaking in his office, the County Director said that churches and entertainment joints should regulate the levels of noise from their respective places of operation not to disturb others.

Bokea said they arrived at that conclusion with other stakeholders, after they received multiple complains from different people in the town and from hospitals, adding that whoever will not follow the rules will be arrested and charged according to the law.

“So many people have come to my office saying that clubs play loud music and specifically Kisii town, there is a club that plays loud music and it is near a hospital and we have said that if they do not change within these 14 days, we will be forced to go there and close down the club,” he said.

He also called on all the residents of Kisii County to mind the welfare of others, noting that some are sick, while others are students who need to study in peaceful environments.
