It was a good day and dream come true for a group of youths from Nyachenge Village in Tabaka Sub County, after they received a brick-making machine from their area MCA Daniel Apepo.
According to the Chairperson of the group Nyachenge Youth for Development, Aosa Kevin, the MCA had promised them the machine, and he finally delivered.
“We appreciate the area MCA for keeping his word after he realized we use the old methods to make bricks which we sell to the locals, and bringing us the modern machine will see the youth group increase its income,” said Aosa
According to Apepo, the youth in the area has the potential to earn more despite lack of enough capital to expand their business, and called on more youth in the area to open up more youth groups so that they can benefit from elective leaders as well as government kitties set aside for youth.
“I call upon the youth to take advantage of the county government youth fund kitty and the National government tenders for instance, the group will be able to apply for tenders in supplying bricks during the county office construction,” said Apepo.
He also added that they will receive training on how to use the machine form the machine manufacturer.
