Kitutu Masaba MP Timothy Bosire has alleged that the government's National Youth Service programme is aimed at hoodwinking Kenyans to vote for the Jubilee government in the next general election.
Speaking on Friday in Kisii, Mr Bosire wondered why the programme was initiated in a few constituencies instead of being rolled out throughout the country to benefit every Kenyan.
He alleged that the government was rolling out the NYS programme in opposition strongholds to change perception among Kenyans that Jubilee is the preferable choice come 2017.
"What is the logic behind rolling out the NYS programme selectively?" he posed.
"There are 290 constituencies in Kenya but the programme is initiated only in 66 constituencies. Is this not deceiving Kenyans?" he questioned.
The MP, who is also ODM national treasurer, added, "The government is out to stem opposition but it will not succeed. We will fight to the end till we get it."
