Kathiani OCS Kizito Mutoro has called upon people of the society to assist police curb criminal activities in the area.
Mr Mutoro said this will ensure that there is enough security in the areas through enhancing a spirit of working together.
The police officer urged the public to report the emerging criminal cases to the relevant authorities in time so as to help the police take quick security measures.
He also added that the police have put into place strategic plans to enhance security in the region by conducting undercover patrols in all the places at all times.
Mr Mutoro said his men will remain alert, especially at the road blocks to ensure no illicit drugs are being ferried through the routes.
He added that they are working closely with the local administration in flashing out criminals in the area.
His sentiments were echoed by Kathiani East location chief John Mainda who said that there is no room for criminals in his area as he had agreed to work hand in hand with the public towards enhancing their security.
They were speaking in a meeting held in Kathiani market on Wednesday to deliberate on the issues affecting the residents where the local leaders and administration officers were present.
