Kisumu’s Ogango residents have challenged the county government to allocate funds for setting up a police post in the area to improve security.
Speaking on Tuesday at Ogango Primary school through their representative Enock Ogola, the residents called upon the county government to fasten on allocating the funds to boost the ‘dilapidating’ security.
“We appeal to the county government to put aside its resources in seeing a police post is put up in Ogango to improve the deteriorating state of insecurity in the region,” said Ogola.
He further called upon the area MCA to help the county assembly in coming with a motion that would support the setting up of the police post.
Area MCA Paul Achayo said he had received the residents’ complaints, and was working towards solving their problem.
Achayo further advised landlords to take precautionary measures, and ensure their houses were well fenced to improve on security.
