Kisii County governor James Ongwae has insisted that he will to make the county have a conducive environment for investors.

Speaking on Thursday evening, shortly after addressing the residents from Bonchari who staged a protest to his office, as they expressed their displeasure over the allegation that the county government of Kisii was planning to build a waste management site at their backyard calling it a health hazard, Ongwae told his opponent to keep off and wait for their time to come.

Ongwae disclosed that he plans to see the county proper in every economic, social, political and all aspects of life for the common gain of the county and its residents noting that by achieving the objectives the Kisii County will lead from the frontline in terms of development.

Thurday’s demonstration adds to a series of demos especially from the disgruntled residents whom the governor has termed as being politically incited.

He appealed to the residents of Kisii to join hands and support constructive and developmental projects and shun negative influence from politicians whom he termed failures who are looking for ways to attract the audience.

He assured the Bonchari residents that the county government will follow the law as provided by the constitution of Kenya and any action taken by the county always follows a due process before the formal approval.
