A group of parents opposed to Nyaronge Primary School head teacher Mrs. Josephine Temu stormed the institution demanding the her resignation over what they called ‘incompetence and arrogance’ following poor performance.

According to them, the school head has been condoning alleged incompetence from his own staff by allowing them to be out of the institution constantly without valid reasons, leaving pupils unattended.

They said most of the teachers have been found executing their own businesses outside the institution at the time when they are supposed to be in school.

"We are very angry and the institution’s performance may deteriorate further if no action is taken. The school head has been sabotaging the school's good performance by always tolerating her staff that are alleged to have been always missing their lessons as they do their own businesses,” claimed Alex Nyakundi, parent.

They asked the government to chip in and investigate their allegations besides asking the school head to willingly resign before the situation escalates.

"The government should chip in and investigate our claims, since they are valid. We have evidence and that can be supported by many parents as well," added Linet Maina, another parent.

However, Mrs. Temu dismissed the allegations and accused a teacher, whom she chose to conceal her identity for allegedly waging war against her in a bid to take over her leadership as the school head.

"This is purely succession battles and someone from within wants to take over after me. I think it is high time people used a proper channel to ascend to leadership positions instead of inciting parents by using propaganda," advised head Temu.
