Parent and students have been cautioned to keep off fake Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education examinations papers being sold to them.
They were told to be on look out for people selling the fake examination papers because they are only out to make quick money.
Speaking to this writer on the phone on Wednesday, Nyanza Parents Association Kisumu County coordinator Jackson Ogweno said they should report any case if they come across.
The Kenya National Examinations Council had earlier warned the public to be on the lookout for fake examination papers in circulation.
Ogweno, however, said Knec should move with speed and avert these cases of fake examination papers being sold to parents and students.
He said Knec has a responsibility to arrest and take to court culprits found to be selling the examination papers.
“Knec should not just raise and alarm the public but we need it to take more action. We want to see more people being arrested and charged,” he said.
The exams body had also put regional and county police commanders on the alert with Knec chief executive Joseph Kavilu warning that most culprits were leaking examinations using the Whatsapp application.
