Ruiru MP Esther Gathogo, Kabete MP Ferdinand Waititu and nominated MP Isaac Mwaura speaking in Ruiru town on Sunday, said that they wouldn’t accept taxpayers' money to be used for the purpose.

The three argued that Kenya Airways is at the current financial state due to corruption and therefore investigations should be conducted and culprits prosecuted.

"Instead of bailing out Kenya Airways, why don't we give the money to the teachers who are suffering. The courts have ruled that they be paid their dues yet the government maintains that it has no money," said Gathogo.

According to National Treasury Cabinet Secretary Henry Rotich, KQ needs a Sh60 billion bailout.

"The corruption we've seen at KQ must not ago unpunished. We demand action and somebody must be held accountable", said Mwaura.

Waititu called the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission to ensure that those responsible for alleged misappropriation of funds money are brought to book.
