Pioneer residents in Uasin-Gishu county have applauded the completion of the bridge construction and tarmacking of the road joining Panvilla inn and Eldoret's Jua kali industrial area.
The residents now have a reason to smile because they have previously been experiencing a lot of difficulties with regards to transportation especially during the rainy season.
"We used to face a lot of challenges accessing our places of residence during heavy rains especially at night because vehicles and motorbikes could not pass through the muddy road," said Abigael Kosgei, a resident from the area.
"The previous poor infrastructure had a negative impact on our businesses in this area forcing us to close our shops early but now we can extend to as late as 9 .00 pm," said Ben kipchumba, another resident.
The construction of the bridge and tarmacking of the road are among many development projects in the county.
