Kiambu OCPD has urged couples in the area to solve domestic problems peacefully rather than engage in violence.
He said cases of domestic violence were on the rise in Kiambu.
Stephen Ngetich said police officers would not hesitate to arrest couples who fight to solve domestic problems.
"I advise couples to find better solutions to their conflicts other than committing crime and risking being jailed," he said on Wednesday.
"We have already taken two people to court and charged for promoting domestic violence."
He said Kiambu is among counties in the country with the highest number of domestic violence cases.
Mr Ngetich added that the law shall firmly deal with couples who do not respect the law by promoting violent means of solving problems.
He spoke to Hivisasa.com in an interview on Tuesday when he made the revelation.
