Speaking at Nyabuya village on Sunday during a fundraiser, Victor Swanya silenced his critics, who have been accusing him of getting money meant for orphans from donors and using it to fund his political campaigns.

Swanya asked area residents to shun politicians who kept lamenting without supporting essential services to the ordinary people, besides vowing to continue supporting the poor and the vulnerable in the society.

“What is dragging us behind is these politicians who complain over everything. I have never been given money from any donor to support orphans, I fund my campaigns using my own cash. I will continue supporting the orphans and I cannot be cowed,” he said.

He accused Walter Nyambati’s camp of fueling tension among residents, and asked him to retire from politics since he had been given a chance before to serve residents and failed them.

“This man Nyambati is always behind rumours and innuendos. He was given a chance to serve but failed to deliver and therefore, time has come for him to retire from politics,” he said.

However, Nyambati, through aspiring MCA Mokoya Maroko asked Ogeto to desist from ‘dragging him to his own predicaments’, since he was not ready to answer to allegations that could not be substantiated.
