Speaking during a farmers workshop held in Maimahiu hotel over the weekend, the local veterinarian Dr. Reuben Mugambi while training farmers and dairy feeds stockist from Naivasha Sub-County said that dairy farmers in the area still produce poor quality milk that cannot be exported.

"It is unfortunate that most of the dairy farmers in this area still produce poor quality milk that cannot be exported," he said.

Mugambi further urged farmers to utilise good agricultural practices with regards to milk production for high quality produce. He added that the farmers should handle milk with hygiene for example by using food grade aluminium.
