Deputy President William Ruto has urged Uasin Gishu politicians and residents to rally behind the Jubilee Alliance Party (JAP).
Speaking when he toured Kapseret constituency in Uasin Gishu County over the weekend, Ruto said that JAP is the only party that has the interests of Kenyans at hand.
He said that JAP understands the problems facing Kenyans and will address them accordingly if Kenyans support its agenda.
“Let’s join JAP and work together to transform our country,” said Ruto.
The DP urged residents to sign up as members of JAP adding that the party will soon launch campaigns to sell its agenda to the people.
At the same time, the DP asked politicians to stop petty politics and focus on serving Kenyans.
He raised concerns that some politicians had already started early campaigns at the expense of serving the people.
The DP said that there is still a long way to 2017 and that politicians must first work for the people that elected them before starting campaigns.
Uasin Gishu Governor Jackson Mandago who had accompanied the deputy president, also urged locals to join the Jubilee Alliance Party.
“If our Deputy President is in JAP then we all must join him and work together,” said Governor Mandago.
