Ann Auma dropped out of school after her parents failed to raise school fees for her.

Khadiri said the girl sat her KCPE in 2011 and joined form one in the subsequent year but dropped out due to lack of school fees.

He said the girl rejoined school in 2015 but again left for lack of school fees.

He promised to pay the school fees with other leaders from Kadero clan in Seme noting that bright children who are needy will be supported.

“The situation of the girl was highlighted in a local radio stations and I was touched how the girl has tried to study but with no assistance,” he said.

Speaking to Hivisasa.com in Kisumu on Thursday, Khadiri said bursary allocations in the Constituency Development Fund should be given to such needy students.

He said the neediest students in the community should be given priority while disbursing such funds.

“CDF bursary ought to have assisted such cases but again may be the family failed to explore such avenues,” he said.

Khadiri says the bursary allocation should be transformed into a scholarship programme to ensure the needy students are assisted all through in their education.
