Jubilee MPs allied to Deputy President William Ruto on Friday continued to mount pressure on President Uhuru Kenyatta to sack Devolution Cabinet Secretary Ann Waiguru.

Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi joined the bandwagon of MPs agitating for the sacking of Wairugu over the NYS scam in which government lost Sh791 million.

Sudi, who spoke at Cheptiret trading centre on Friday supported the opposition's move to impeach Waiguru over the scam.

He lauded Nandi Hills MP Alfred Keter for being vocal about the CSs removal from cabinet to pave way for investigations into the scam in which the taxpayer lost millions of shillings.

"It is high time MPs fight corruption by all means and at all costs," Sudi said.

"We will support the impeachment motion and we will do all it takes to get Waiguru step aside to allow for investigations."

President Uhuru has been under pressure to suspend the CS from cabinet to allow for investigation into the NYS scandal.

The opposition led by Cord leader Raila Odinga accuses the President of protecting Waiguru while URP MPs in the ruling coalition claim the government is selective in suspending government officials implicated in corruption.

Machakos Senator Johnstone Muthama on Wednesday recorded a statement at the National Cohesion and Intergration Commission over the issue.
