Several businesses in Kibera are counting losses after robbers raided their offices on Wednesday night and made away with property worth Sh450,000.

Faulu Bank which was affected during the robbery lost goods worth Sh150,000 after robbers broke into its offices and made away with three computers, water purifiers and safe money machine.

According to an employee, the thieves got into the building through the window.

Zam Obed, a director of Child Life, a non-governmental organisation that deals with women and children health is also counting loses after losing property worth Sh300,000.

"I received a call at around 8am from one of my workers as I was going to Pamoja FM informing me about the burglary. So I had to go back to my office and found that thieves had broken in and stolen one computer, our safe which is very expensive and other properties,” said Zam

Police from Kilimani Police station arrived at the scene later and took some photos as well as finger prints which they said will help them in their investigations. They also went with the guard who was manning the premises for questioning.

Speaking to Hivi sasa, Zam the director said that they are yet to resume their duties.
