A man who lost his job at the Kenya Industrial Estate has been described as a notorious absentee by her boss before a Nakuru court.
Martha Wangeci who is the risk manager at the company told Justice Stephen Radido that the claimant Alfred Ngeno always abstained himself from work without genuine reasons.
"Mr Ngeno's dismissal was justified because he was never coming to work and the reasons he put forth lacked merit," she stated.
Wangeci, who told the court that the claimant worked under her as a junior employee averred that despite the claimant being suspended as a warning he never heeded to the set regulations.
She further said that the claimant was not even present during a disciplinary meeting to determine his fate despite having a prior awareness about it.
Ngeno who was employed in 2010 but fired a year after, later sued the company for wrongful dismissal and wanted the industrial court to issue orders reinstating him to his job.
The ruling will be delivered on January 22, 2016.
