Schools boards of management have been told to make sure they provide necessary guidance to schools for better results.
According to Kisii Deputy County Commissioner Philip Soi, the members have a big role to play in their respective schools to enhance better results.
In addition, he cautioned them to stop sacking teachers when students don't perform well.
“Board members should stop blame games whenever students fail in examinations, they should ask themselves what they have done as a board of management to make students excel," said Soi.
He added that there is need for them to work with teachers to enhance better results in their schools.
“Board members should work closely with teachers to make sure that whatever the school needs to perform is well provided” added Soi.
He advised parents to make sure that they educate their children on good morals so that they can refrain from evil doings in society.
