A lab technician at St Matheus Mulumbu secondary school in Borabu has been relieved of his duties after allegedly being found having sex with a form two student in the school’s science lab.
Speaking to this writer on Tuesday, the school’s deputy principal Wycliffe Bosire said the Monday mid-morning incident was condemned by the administration with strongest terms possible and called for prosecution of the man in the controversy.
He said the institution had been monitoring Mr Vincent Amisi after a section of students reported several sexual advances incidents previously and the uncouth behavior culminated into a senior subordinate staff eventually catching the embattled technician red handed.
“It is true that we have sacked the technician after he was found breaking rules with a form two student. We had been previously receiving complaints from disgruntled students and maybe all has gone well. The institution strongly condemns the incident and we have reported the case to the Chepilat police,” he said.
The management defended its move after a section of form four students opposed the move to suspend the only technician understandably because of the expected KCSE exams for 2015 candidates.
‘For now science teachers will be in charge of the laboratory as we start the process of replacement. We understand some opposition from the form fours because of practical in science subjects but we have made a decision and no one will question it,” Bosire added.
