Students from Masaba South sub-county in Nyaribari Masaba constituency have been tipped on the importance of embracing discipline not only in school but also outside their learning institutions to ensure they succeed in their education careers.

The Kenya National Union of Teachers (Knut) Masaba Branch Executive Secretary, Meshack Obonyo has said that, any student who lacks discipline will automatically perform poorly in school and national examinations.

Speaking yesterday at Boburia Village in Masaba South, the teachers' spokesman argued that for anybody including students to succeed in life they must demonstrate discipline in their engagements.

Obonyo reminded students that discipline was a core virtue in life and anybody without discipline lacks focus and will ultimately fail to achieve their goals in life.

"As a teacher, I am encouraging school children to embrace discipline since it is the only virtue that will determine their education performance and success in their national examinations," stated Obonyo

He reminded school children that taking their education seriously was critical if they wanted to succeed in their careers.
