Fifteen form four students were on Thursday arraigned before a Mombasa Court with being in possession of examination materials.
The students were arrested on Wednesday, October 21 after they were found with Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) exams.
The court heard that the fifteen candidates were in possession of Kiswahili paper one and two during the time of their arrest.
The prosecution told Mombasa Chief Magistrate Susan Shitubhi that the students were caught while conducting revisions at Changamwe Primary School in Mombasa County.
The privately registered students pleaded not guilty to the charges and through their lawyer James Obara asked the court to release the them on bond so that they could be able to continue with their examinations.
Lawyer Obara further said in his application that one of the female candidate arrested had a seven-month-old baby who requires her attention.
Magistrate Susan Shitubhi granted the request and ordered for the students to be released on a Sh800,000 bond each with a surety of a similar amount.
The case will be heard on November 26.
