Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi has urged Chebaiywo residents in Kesses constituency to shun tribalism but instead unite and initiate development.

The legislator urged residents to unite and form Saccos to enable them develop by giving them access to funding.

"We encourage you to come up with unions where you will be funded by the government and help you in starting income generating projects," he said.

Speaking at a fundraising event at St John Catholic Chebaiywo on Sunday, Sudi said that having a God-fearing society will enable peaceful co-existence among people with a diverse background.

"We need more churches in the community because through this people will come together and solve problems collectively," he added.

The MP condemned alcoholism and the sale of illicit brew advising parents to be vigilant and ensure their children do not get lured into alcohol abuse.

In an interesting twist, the legislator called on Baringo Senator Gideon Moi to join the Jubilee Coalition while expressing his support for Deputy President William Ruto in his 2022 presidential bid.
