Two men were apprehended on Tuesday in Muguga, Thika East for allegedly killing a tout and dumping his body in Ndarugo area of Juja sub-county.
Collaboration between Thika East, West and Juja detectives has seen the men apprehended after the police got necessary information from two suspects arrested earlier on Monday in Ruiru area.
According to Thika DCIO, Peter Mbuvi, the police through interrogation on the suspects, they were directed to the residence of one John Kiango and Silas Mwakio in Muguga where they apprehended them.
The officer further said that they have retrieved blunt weapons like old pangas and metal rods from the house belonging to the culprits and they have got other documents showing the agreements and payments made to them.
The two are said to have been facilitated by unknown forces to murder a student and a tout both in Juja sub-county last week and are now being held in Thika sub-county police custody.
The officers have said that they will interrogate them as they want to know the people behind the killings and the reason behind the incidences so as to act as a lesson to them and other criminals.
“We are going to retain them until we are through with investigations so as we can arraign them in court,” Mbuvi said.
The other culprits will be arraigned in court tomorrow for partnering with criminals and hiding them on the night they committed the crime.
