Thika West OCS Robert Okinya has cautioned criminal gangs allegedly causing havoc in the area at night saying that the security officers are on alert and they will deal will them accordingly.
Okinya said that there is need to change into better ways as anyone caught in connection with the increasingly numerous criminal activities in Thika town and areas will be prosecuted according to the law.
The officer further cautioned the minor law-breakers saying that everyone should adhere to the laws stipulated in the Kenyan constitution and avoid any diverse activity that might lead to prosecution.
“We as the police have no time to search for criminals. Anyone involved should shift to another job as we have intensified the raids at the moment and in future. If you want to test the waters then get on the streets and attack people att night and you will prove to the rest,” he added.
He added, “We are not going to allow criminals to cause havoc and interrupt business and peace of the residents of this town.”
The OCS has called for collective efforts with the business community and residents in dealing with these cases and insisted that through partnership the crimes will be tamed easily.
The officer, who spoke in Thika police station on Saturday after they conducted a raid overnight, said that he has enough officers for the raids.
