Two men and a woman were arraigned in a Nakuru court on Thursday to answer the charges of theft. George Wafula and Hassan Abdulahi allegedly stole after beating Denis Wambugu a Samsung mobile phone worth Sh 12, 000 a property of on June 17 in Njoro.
George Wafula was also charge solemnly after he was found with a mobile phone of Samsung made belief to have been stolen on July 5 in Kaptembwa estate in Nakuru.
According to the police they robbed him after beating him badly causing severe injuries on his body. They appeared before Chief Magistrate, Joel Ngeno, they all denied the charges and given an cash bail of Sh 50, 000 each.
The case will be mentioned on July 23 and heard on September 5.
Wafula and Hassan also faced another charge of robbing Festus Kitenda of a laptop and its bag, and a mobile phone on July 5 at Egerton estate in Njoro. They denied the charges. The case will be mentioned on July 23 and heard on September 17.
Mary Wambui and Hassan Abdulahi were also charged for robbing Efi Cheruyiot of a mobile phone, two gas cylinders and other properties all worth Sh 60,000.
Wambui was also accused of escaping from Njoro police station while in custody on September 15, 2014. They denied the charges before Chief magistrate Joel Ngeno and were given a Sh 100,000 cash bail.
The case will be heard on September 15.
