Two women and a man were arraigned before a Nakuru court on Friday over defilement of a 16 year-old mentally disturbed girl.

John Ndungu was accused of allegedly defiling the girl on August 15 and 16 at Stoo-Mbili trading centre in Njoro sub-county.

Ndungu also faced an account of an indecent act on a child by touching her.

Joyce Wanjiku and Mary Wangui are also accused of allegedly conspiring to convince the minor to be defiled by Ndungu.

Its alleged that the two women pretended that they were in position to offer shelter to the minor.

According to the police record, the two visited the minor's house where she lived with her mother Ann Wanjiku, they offered to take her to their house to spend the night.

The three were arrested on August 28 and taken to Njoro police station after an investigation was done by the police.

Appearing before Chief Magistrate Joel Ngeno, they pleaded not guilty and were given a cash bail of Sh100,000.

The case will be heard on October 9.
