It is all system goes at the Mount Kenya University graduation pavilion, Happy Valley Grounds as the grandaunts started arriving this morning to attend the graduation rehearsal set tomorrow.

The graduation which will mark the 8th ceremony at the institution is said to be fully guarded with tight security according to the institution Vice Chancellor Stanley Waudo.

Most of the students could be seen in their gowns ready for the exercise on Thursday morning as the security at the gate was tight with the police and the National Youth Service (NYS) doing checks all people and vehicles entering the premise.

The hawkers were not left behind as they could be seen preparing their tools of trade ahead of tomorrow to take advantage of one in a lifetime opportunity to make their ends meet.

The VC who was speaking in his office told the press that he was impressed by the progress that the school had as a school and urged the grandaunts to avail early as 8: AM in the morning for the tedious activity.

“I feel honored to graduate my students who have been working hard for their certificates and now ready to build the nation with the knowledge they have acquired at the institution,” said Waudo.

He added, “I advice them to come in large numbers at the event which will begin at 9:00 am in the morning thus I appeal them to be settled as early as 8:00 am in the morning.”

Waudo said that the security at the institution will be beefed to enhance the program revealing he will be working with the Thika Deputy County Commissioner Jeremiah Gicheru.
