Two men were on Monday charged at a Thika court for allegedly stealing a motorbike.
Peterson Mwithi and Tony Muriungi from Ngoingwa estate of Thika sub-county were accused of stealing a Tiger motorbike worth Sh88,500 belonging to Amos Nyamu on the night of October 17, 2015.
The two were found with the stolen items on October 24, 2015 at Ngoingwa market, the court heard.
Appearing before resident magistrate Alfred Kibiru, Muchiri pleaded guilty to the offence. Judgment will be made on November 12, 2015.
His counterpart, Mr Muriungi, who pleaded not guilty to the charge, was released on a bond of Sh50,000 or a cash bail of Sh30,000.
The hearing of Mr Muriungi’s case was scheduled to take place on January 19, 2016.
