Speaking yesterday in his office, he said that it through public participation that is ongoing in different wards and their contribution that will make them decide which projects should be given first priority.

Terer urged the public to be involved in the process prior to the budget reading exercise for their views to be considered and put into consideration on time instead of always blaming the Uasin Gishu County Assembly for not allocating funds for their preferred projects and yet they do not get involved in the budget making process.

“In this news constitution dispensation, the public has a say in the making of the County Budget through public participation for them to air their views for which projects to be given first priority and which one less since they are the ones on the ground and knows better what they entirely need,” he said.

He challenged the youths to come out in large numbers since they are the leaders of tomorrow and they should directly be involved in the budget making process for their issues to be taken care of such as employment and projects that will help the youths earn a living.
