Kabete Member of Parliament Ferdinand Waititu has vowed to fight land grabbers in the constituency.

Addressing Wangige residents on Thursday, Waititu said that he will not sit and watch as land grabbers grab public land.

The MP said that he is not afraid of land grabbers stating that he has dealt with them before.

“Let land grabbers know that Kabete is a no go zone. I will personally deal with them,” he said.

The MP alleged that several parcels of public land are being eyed by grabbers.

The Kabete lawmaker said that he has written to the National Land Commission (NLC) and the Ministry of Lands to get a status report of all public land in the constituency.

He also called for an audit of all public land in the constituency.

“I will fight and protect all public land belonging to schools, churches and other institutions,” he added.

The MP asked Kiambu governor William Kabogo to guard the county’s public land.

He said that as Kabete MP, he will make sure that dubious land dealers and cartels are exposed and legal action taken against them.

Students and parents of Waginge primary school held demonstrations on Wednesday protesting land grabbing.
