A former Member of Parliament has urged Jubilee leaders to stop bickering over the ICC cases facing Deputy President William Ruto and journalist Joshua Sang at The Hague.

Former Molo MP Njenga Mungai also called on the leaders to stop making statements that could lead to disharmony among communities and regions.

Addressing journalists in Elburgon on Wednesday, the former MP urged leaders to weigh their sentiments for the sake of national unity, adding that some statements were stirring suspicion among leaders and communities.

He urged the politicians to stop pointing fingers at each other on who fixed who with regard to the cases facing Ruto and Sang.

Njenga called upon Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria who has alleged that he and other leaders were involved in influencing ICC investigations and witnesse, to refrain from making such remarks especially now that the cases have reached a critical moment.

He also warned that the strength of the Jubilee alliance in the next general election could be affected by individuals who are fuelling hatred through their utterances at public rallies.

“Some of the allegations made by leaders are creating fears and mistrust among the public and could open up healing wounds which could lead to further animosities,” he said.

He said the country has made positive strides since the UhuRuto unity that ended years of disunity in election years.
