Residents of Junction, Pipeline estate in Nakuru have raised a red flag over increased cases of burglary.
The residents claim the burglars mostly steal gas cylinders and flat screen Tvs.
They said there have been a series of break burglary cases in more than twenty houses since Thursday.
“They seem to have a ready market for the products," Njeri Kimani told this reporter.
"Despite our complains to the Mwariki police post, nothing is being done to track the thieves, since they have continued with the break inns."
She said the thieves seem to have a getaway for the products.
Geoffrey Mwangi appealed to the police to help in tracking the whereabouts of the goods.
“They could use the serial number to know where eventually the goods ended up in,” he said.
Contacted on phone on Monday evening however, Nakuru East Member of Parliament David Gikaria promised to follow up the issue.
“I will talk to the police in the area and request them for frequent patrols," Gikari said.
"We are also calling on the residents to report anything suspicious in the area so that we can be able to curb the thieves,” he added.
He also asked the police to stop any suspicious vehicles transporting goods at night.
“We suspect that they are using pickups to transport the stolen goods,” he added.
