"President Obama has spoken enough about how women can no longer be sidelined in moving forward their country's economy. That is a major endorsement for us. He also brought us a raft of women programs and it is now upon us to take advantage of them," said Ng'ang'a.

Speaking at a local church in Kimunyu, Gatuanyaga on Sunday after attending Obama's address to the nation in Kasarani, the MP said that women received a big shot in the arm after Obama announced a Sh100 billion for entrepreneurial activities to be shared between them and youths.

She however urged women to come up with creative ideas and initiatives so that they can attract funding.

"Do not just think about what everyone else is doing. Be different and unique and things will work out for you," she said.
