A Member of the County Assembly in Nakuru has told youth to attend the Kenya Defense Forces recruitment that is currently on-going.
London MCA Francis Njoroge said youth should not fear going for recruitment as some people have been peddling falsehoods that they will be deployed in hostile areas.
He said the exercise would give youth the opportunity to get employed and cut the high cases of unemployment in the country.
He said the high cases of unemployment had compelled many youth to do jobs they are not qualified for.
“This bodaboda thing is a national disaster because it has proved to be a menace in almost all counties in the country,” he said as he referred to the highly educated youth joining the bodaboda industry.
He also said the industry had been turned into a business used by criminals to hide.
Mr Njoroge said other than rely on unpredictable business ventures, the youth should join stable jobs like the army.
He said those who will succeed to join the KDF will get the opportunity to serve the country.
