Youths in Kisii County have been advised to possess the required documents to secure county jobs and training opportunities with ease.

Addressing youths in Tabaka early Friday, area MCA Daniel Apepo said it has been frustrating when most of the youths in the county get disqualified from various job opportunities in the name of lacking the needed certifications.

He noted that as much as potential employers may be in need of people with technical and vocational training, any training employment panel will insist on seeing commendable academic certificates from all candidates.

He discouraged parents against advising their children to venture into business before completing their formal education and attaining the highest possible education level.

Apepo warned the youth against pushing their parents into giving money to either county staff or civilians on promises of jobs.

He added that the laid down procedures would always be followed in advertising for available vacancies for application and final recruitment.

“Let no one ask you for money in exchange of county job. Instead, you should apply and wait because we are sure persons with the right qualification will get the job,” said Apepo

He called upon the youth who did not complete their schooling to join local polytechnics so that they can gain skills that will help them in the competitive world.
