Youths in Kibera have been urged to get certificates of good conduct at the huduma Centre.
Speaking to the youths at Jamhuri Primary School grounds on Friday, Kennedy Akoko, an official from Kibra huduma Centre said the certificate is as important as a birth certificate.
“The certificate of good conduct is an essential document every youth in Kibera must have. It carries more weight compared to other things such as driving licence. Having a certificate of good conduct can earn you a job in big organisations,” said Akoko who represented the manager, Alice Shiundu,.
He further said the certificate shows that the government of Kenya regards you as a responsible and worthy to be trusted citizen.
Akoko told the youths to make use of the huduma Centre services at the DC area.
“I would like to welcome those who have not applied for birth certificate and identity cards too to visit our office at the DC area to start processing their documents. I will not want to see youths live a life of struggle just because they lack essential documents. Youths should apply for the documents for their better future life.”
