A spot check by HiviSasa.com on Thursday in Ndumberi, Limuru, Njunu, Bibilion and Muchatha wards revealed that most residents are happy with the changes implemented by the county commissioner in a bid to curb insecurity.

The residents of Limuru said that the transfer of police officers from one station to another was in good faith because the police were working in cahoots with criminals to perpetrate crimes.

“Some policemen were colluding with criminals to terrorise residents. We had lost faith in them,” said Jane Wangui, a resident from Limuru.

"Robbery, muggings, rape, carjacking and extortion were the order of the day here but this has since changed," said Geoffrey Njuguna, a resident of Ndumberi ward.

The residents urged police officers to respect the National Police Code of Ethics and to live to their motto - Utumishi kwa wote (service to all).

The County Commissioner has made changes in the county police force where policemen have been transferred from one station to another in an effort to instil confidence in the public and promote security in addition to warning officers against colluding with criminals in carrying out crimes.
