One person has today April 20 sustained injuries in a road accident at Makutano area along Machakos-Kitui road.
Confirming the accident, Mwala OCPD Henry Rukaria said that the accident involved two personal cars in which one lost control and crashed into the other.
He said that the car which caused the accident was overspeeding heading to Machakos whereby one of its tyres burst.
"The car heading to Machakos was overspeeding and after the tyre burst, the driver could not be able to control it where it crashed to the other one from Machakos heading to Kitui leaving one person injured," said Mr Rukaria.
Rukaria asked motorists to drive slowly on the road to avoid accidents which have cost many lives countrywide.
He said that more investigations will be done into the cause of the accident.
The injured person was rushed to Mwala level four hospital where he is receiving treatment.
