According to witnesses, the driver of the probox car was over speeding when he hit a motorbike from behind at a sharp corner near Kenyorora primary school.

"The rider sustained serious head, leg, and shoulder injuries. The driver of the probox car disappeared leaving the car on the road for fear of his safety because angry riders arrived at the scene and threatened to lynch him," said Richard Ondicho, a witness.

Igonga division police boss Nicholas Omondi confirmed the incident and said motorists should be more cautious when using the roads.

"Motorists must observe road rules to avoid causing accidents because any driver or rider found violating road rules will be arrested and prosecuted," said the police boss.

He said the injured man identified as Oroo Momanyi was rushed to Nyamagundo Level 4 hospital for treatment.

Remains of the motorbike and the probox car were towed to Igonga administration police.
