This came on the back of two draws; a 1-1 stalemate in the CAF Cup tournament against Rayon Sports of Rwanda, and last weekend’s match against Hull City, where they settled for a scoreless draw.

In those matches, Gor’s major undoing has been their inability to score goals and win the matches. The teams, boasting of a lethal forward line of Ephraim Guikan, George Blackberry Odhiambo and Jacques Tusiyenge has not been able to plunder in goals to help the team win matches.

This will come back to haunt the team, which is fighting to gain glory and once again place its name on the international scene.

Their game against USM was another clear indication that the team’s forward line needs to up their game, as they missed a host of chances that could have given them the much needed three points.

Coach Dylan Kerr has work to do and should fine-tune the frontline if he intends on building on their good start to the season that has seen them win most of their matches.
