Ten people were on Thursday arrested by police in Naivasha in an operation against drugs in the area.
The suspected bhang smokers and peddlers were nailed when area chiefs and their assistants jointly raided crime hotspots in the sub-county.
Naivasha deputy county commissioner Isaac Masinde thanked the officers for the raid and encouraged them to up their efforts in ending drug menace in the area.
"Chiefs and their assistants have been mobolised to help end the problem. We will not give up until we flush out all drug peddlers and smokers from the area," he said.
Masinde called on the parents and the community to be vigilant and ensure young people doesn't fall into the trap of drug addiction.
"Drug abuse has been on the rise, especially among teenagers. We must all join hands to eradicate the menace," said the DCC.
