Harambee Stars lost their second and final friendly match on Tuesday evening, going down 3-2 against the Central African Republic in Morocco.
The national team went down in the first half, with the CAR drawing first blood. However, Johana Omolo equalized a minute later, and the scores remained tied at 1-1 going into halftime.
CAR came back stronger in the second half and took the lead, before adding a third on the half-hour mark.The match remained in the Central Africa opponents until Michael Olunga scored Kenya’s second in the dying minutes of the match.
However, there was not enough time left for the team to find an equalizer, with the match ending in favour of CAR.Stars were forced to end the match with 10 men after Ismael Gonzalez was shown a red card.
This was stars’ second match, after drawing 2-2 with Comoros Island in their first match, played in Morocco.
Key players including Captain Victor Wanyama did not feature in the match, with some left out due to knocks.
